L 2/4 with three nixes: $250
L 2/4 with reverse nixes: $300
Also, still running the Turbo Army special. This allows you to pick the specific army you want.
Here’s what the owner of the Nurgle army (above) had to say after it was all said and done:
Hey Shawn,
I just wanted to say thanks, and how honoured I am at having the army you did for me get its’ own YouTube video, and also appear as an example of how awesome the Pandora’s army specials can be in your blog! You guys truly deserve all the credit in the world for creating such an awesome force, and I’m proud that you’re using my army as an example of BTP’s brilliance. So, thank you.
.
Also, I’m insanely excited that Sarah has shipped out my army, and it’s now on its merry way into my eagerly awaiting hands. I simply can’t wait. I’m really hoping it arrives as quickly as possible, and I can’t wait to get that army on the tabletop and start crushing foes left and right.
.
Now, as we were talking about a couple days ago, I’m already looking ahead at expanding upon this army. [sic]
.
I’m totally in love with the Nurgle army you’ve done for me, Shawn, and can’t wait for this next round of additions. Thanks again for showcasing my army, it’s been a really special experience, and one I’ll definately be repeating with BTP for a long time to come.

Six Piece
She’s over her lingering cold and back to her mild-mannered self. Just happy to be along for the ride. Zen-baby.
She’s crawling all around now, like a sea cucumber with anemone hands, drawing all into a central drooling orifice. She loves noodles, and will sit and eat contentedly as long as new things are put in front of her. She won’t tolerate being spoon fed, she absolutely freaks out. She wants to do it herself.
This is the magic stage where she is being introduced to human food. I can’t get enough of her.
Tonight I had her cradled in one arm while I slouched on the couch watching TV. That was pure enchantment.
Space Hulk Sold Out!
I just saw on the GW website that Space Hulk is sold out.
Blue Table Painting has three copies left! You can commission all the plastic parts to be painted.

Warp Breach Imminent…
Pandora Round 3
There are some notable improvements to the program. So read it over for changes.
The Pandora’s Army special was one of the most exciting things we’ve ever done. I’m ready to do a third run for September-October (they should be done near the end of October latest). Note: I plan on running this special until further notice.
We’ve now done about twelve of these armies. I have taken pics of all done so far and those can be found in the New Stuff section of our website (use “find” function for keyword “pandora”). There has been a load of positive feedback.

L 2/4 with three nixes: $250
L 2/4 with reverse nixes: $300
.
Bonus: if your army is 2000 points or more, you can knock $100 off.
This means you can get your army started with a 500 point force for only $250-300 (a modest half-down deposit pulls the trigger).
.
The catch? We pick everything. You only choose 40K or Fantasy. We will produce at least a reasonably competitive list. And nothing weird for paint scheme.
.
Normal Painting Level is the L3/5 split (ie L5 for heroes, L3 for everything else– what you mostly see on our site).
NIXES
You can also nix THREE armies; meaning you can pick three armies you don’t want it to be. Point cost includes reasonable upgrades (ie we won’t inflate the point total by giving every piece of wargear possible).
.
REVERSE NIXES
You can pick three armies and the one we pick MUST be one of those.
.
You can also expand the army up to once at the same cost. Subsequent expansions are at the normal rate.
.
I’d be really excited to do anything with this special because I always have a lot of ideas cooking. Artists produce their best work when allowed to operate freely.
.
We accept almost any form of payment you can imagine. Don’t forget that we have a trade-in program (that can take the edge off!).
.
The normal refund options are not available for this. It’s non-refundable. That’s fair, I think, since we are making concession on price in exchange for artistic license.
.
Normal shipping rates apply. That’s $9 flat in US, $25 flat overseas. Overseas pays actual shipping if it’s over $50 (ie we absorb extra cost up to $50). This is rare but it does happen.
.
I will be reasonable. I think that this deal will produce good armies. No “four high elf special characters and two units of archers” or stuff like that. I have full good will in this matter. I really want to have free reign to make some dream armies.
.
War Machine and Hordes
Per 200 pts
Pick War Machine or Hordes then…
L 3/5 any army (we pick): $125
L 3/5 with one nix (you pick one army and it can’t be that one): $150
L 4/6 any army (we pick): $200
L 4/6 with one nix : $225
L 2/4 any army (we pick): $100
L 2/4 with one nix : $125
If your army is 1000 pts or more, save $50.
Chaperones
On the way back home tonight, I got into an mild-natured dispute with my wife. She said that Charlie Brown’s sister was named Sally. Everyone knows that Charlie Brown’s sister is Lucy! There’s no Sally. Who ever heard of a Sally? Such a character never existed! I completely derided the notion, berating her for her lack of Peanuts knowledge. Imagine my embarrassment.
Rewind.
Bright and early Saturday morning I was up and at’em. I left for work just as the kids were getting up and indulging in the ritual of Saturday-morning cartoons. My good friend Sky Marshall Anonymo tipped me off to an auction at a local business. He had to come with me because it was for employees of certain companies only. It’s a rather large manufacturing place on the outskirts of town.
When I arrived I saw a mass of office furniture and other miscellaneous related equipment all numbered and arranged about in the shipping bay. There were about thirty people in a gaggled crescent about the edge. There wasn’t an auctioneer per se, just an employee with a laptop. He started the bidding on each item at a dollar, and a LOT of them had no bids, and I just started picking them up at a dollar each. Mostly office chairs. At the end I had picked up twenty-nine lots.
The catch of the day was a set of four leather office chairs with brass studs, tilt-backs and wheels, and also a matching non-wheeled pair. I picked them up for less than a tenth of the normal price. That’s the free market for you.
If you want to start your business, don’t go the bank! The world is full of deals for the bargain hunter. I believe it’s possible to start a business on a shoe-string; build it up a step at a time and carry no debt.
Then I had to figure out a way to get it all hauled off. Sky Marshal Anonymo came through again. His wife came out with their truck, and I placed a call to Dane saying “get on your bathrobe and slippers and get down here!”.
After that the Sky Marshal and I headed out for fish tacos. I had to jet early since I had cleaning duty down at the church. I took K and J, my eldest kids, with me and cleaned the bathrooms. That was really a great bonding time.
Now things really got started. Back at Tamie’s old high school they were having Homecoming, and she and her sister had got some alumni-type invitation. We did the whole shelangadang as if we were going to prom. We had a great time. The student body president greeted us at the door, and I just had to take a pass on his super-prickly hair (see pic below).
Tamie is really quite the murderess on the dance floor. I have no chance of keeping up with her.
I’m trying a new thing where I actually listen to other people. I found out that my brother-in-law has a band called Citizen Fate. www.myspace.com/citizenfate
After eating some ice cream we headed off to my sister-in-law’s house where we found that Tamie’s dad has arrived for a visit this week. We sat around chewing the fat for a while, watching the cats chase a laser pointer all around the living room.

A Trillion Suns
I feel inclined to write a word of encouragement.
The worth of a soul is great.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. –Matthew 10
He is kind. He is familiar with each of us and a time is coming that each of us will be embraced by Him again. I know God personally. I always thought it would be a traumatic experience, but it was as comfortable as anything. I know for a fact, for myself, that He would rather extinguish a trillion suns than lose you. And indeed you cannot be lost.
When a child is playfully lifted above his or her father’s head, there is a moment of zero gravity. For some children a moment of terror, and for others (and most after a few tosses) a moment of joy. But those strong hands are to either side and will not falter. That moment is as this entire mortal life.
Be at peace about things of this world. Everything will work out in a short time.
In the meantime enjoy this spectacular view of the Galactic Core!
You are in Texas.
I want to drive fast and eat cheese!
As you know, the studio 40K armies are sold. Gone. I couldn’t play a game of 40K if I wanted.
Renn, on the other hand, has five armies. How can that be? Death Korps, Nurgle (which he has nearly finished but you have not seen– a deadly force), Yellow Devils, Bone Knights, and one other I can’t remember.
I got the Fateweavers (dual use Tzeentch Daemons– both 40K and Fantasy) all assembled thanks to Brigh, and I plan on painting those up soon. I’ve got some ideas.
What else is next?
Imperial Guard: with Kroot instead of guardsmen. The narrative is that they have destroyed a garrison of Cadians. I plan on using a lot of vehicles, and probably using veterans. I got a lot of IG vehicles laying about, ready to go. They’re going to be all rusted, battered, and patched up. I think I’ve got like ninety kroot left over from the various Tau projects.
Blue Dragons: I know what they’re going to look like, but not sure if I want them to be Chaos (1000 sons type list) or just plain Marines. Marines are done to death, not too keen.
Those are the two likely candidates.
I’m also thinking of doing a Fallen Eldar army– slaanesh-themed but using the Dark Eldar list. It’s been a long time since I played those. Don’t see them too often.
